Product Overview
Automotive TPA Connector is an automotive connector equipped with a secondary locking TPA (Terminal Position Assurance) structure. This Automotive TPA Connector uses a TPA locking mechanism to provide double protection against terminal back-out, significantly reducing the risk of terminal loosening caused by vehicle vibration. It is widely adopted by new energy vehicle manufacturers, traditional automotive wiring harness suppliers, and automotive component distributors. With excellent resistance to temperature changes, salt spray corrosion, and mechanical vibration, this connector has become a standard connection component for safe automotive wiring systems.
Manufacturing Process & Production Capability
The complete Automotive TPA Connector assembly, including terminals, housings, and TPA locking pieces, is manufactured through in-house tooling development and production. The front-end stamping process uses reinforced automotive copper terminals formed by precision stamping equipment, with stamping clearance accurately controlled according to automotive standards.
The terminals undergo multi-layer gold plating treatment to improve electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance under harsh environments. The injection molding workshop simultaneously produces connector housings and TPA secondary locking components using high-performance engineering plastics.
Semi-finished products are transferred to dedicated automotive connector automated assembly lines. Automatic TPA pre-installation equipment completes locking assembly, while CCD vision inspection systems verify locking position accuracy and prevent missing or incorrect installation.
Finished products undergo vibration durability testing, thermal shock testing, continuity testing, insulation testing, and withstand voltage testing before final warehouse storage.
The factory has dedicated automotive wiring connector production areas covering stamping, injection molding, and assembly processes. All production data is digitally connected for complete traceability of materials, manufacturing parameters, and inspection records.
Each new product must pass thousands of vibration simulation tests without terminal disengagement before mass production approval. The entire production process follows IATF16949 automotive quality management standards, providing stable supply capability for overseas automotive wiring harness manufacturers.
